We decided to try one more Italian place for dinner. We've heard so much about the homemade pasta, etc. So, the one place that is top-rated, we heard was formal, so we tried a second choice - Suttovoce - that also got great reviews. It ended up being more formal than we expected, but it was nice to have a nice dinner in a pretty restaurant. We got a few looks, or so it felt anyway, walking in with 3 kids (one in a kid carrier backpack), but we made it through and the kids were well-behaved. The pasta was very good. We're glad we went.
Before dinner, Doug & I each went for a run and he saw these old mansions all lit up, so we walked around to see them after dinner. They were very pretty. This is the famous street I referred to in a previous blog where much of the wealthy hung out in the hey day. It still feels that way today- kind of like Fifth Ave. with Cartier and all the expensive stores, etc. and the buildings, streets are much more kept up.
This was as we were leaving around 11 and there was a line to get in still!

Sooo, how is your Spanish? Are you using it a lot, or do most people speak English?

That Four Seasons Hotel is gorgeous!! You just don't see buildings like that, here in Cali. We did see several beautiful buildings when we were on the East Coast.
