A Little Scare

As we were heading to the train station, in El Tigre, after getting off the boat, we had a bit of a scare. Hudson was sitting on a metal rope and fell backwards banging his head on the concrete. Blood was dripping from his head and he was screaming. We're in a foreign country and a 45 minute train ride from the city. We walked him back to the bathroom a few minutes away and had tons of people running to help us. They brought ice, gave him a piece of candy to calm him, paper towels, translators, advice, etc. Turned out it was an abrasion more than a cut, thankfully! He had a bit of a bump, but seems fine and he was pretty brave through it all. We're very thankful it wasn't worse!

Here's Hudson showing the rope he was sitting on

His wound after we cleaned it up :)

Head wounds are so scary since they produce so much blood! Once you are prepared for this it's a little less scary.
Do you remember my grocery store incident with Patrice with a full cart of groceries and baby Oliver? Patrice wanted the can of pringles and I said NO so her dropped down to the ground in a meltdown and hit his head on the wheel casing producing much blood and a screaming kid. The blood soaked a burp cloth and totally freaked me out and ended up being nothing to worry about.

I'm glad it was not more serious for Hudson, bet you won't forget that any time soon.

Glad he's ok, and that you had people come to your aid. He doesn't look too happy about that chain. I'll definitely keep that in mind the next time my kids want to climb/sit on chains!
