The kids were troopers today and had fun exploring. Kerrigan has done great in our stroller (a.k.a. urban assault vehicle) that we got from craig's list before we left. She gets in her needed naps. And, the step up board on the back is a tremendous help for Sutton & Hudson to hop on when they get tired. We walked a lot of miles today, exploring. We now know more about this huge city with so much to do and see. Some great shopping areas, great places to eat, great architecture that we are excited to find/see. So, after having a little better idea and orientation of the city, we did some more research online to know where else to explore the rest of our time here. We have a route planned for tomorrow and some ideas for some other days.
Our bodies are still adjusting to this time zone (5 hours ahead of our time) and trying to learn Buenos Aires time. Buenos Aires runs on a later schedule. It seems they don't eat dinner until really late. We'll update that as we learn more. I think this was the first time I've ever had to wake the kids up in the morning instead of them waking me up! We all slept in pretty late, which seems to be what many do here. We didn't get out of the apt. until 1. Doug slept in until 9:30. I got up at 10:30 and woke the kids up to eat breakfast at 11. We didn't get out of the apt. until 1 and had a really late lunch and late dinner. We seemed to fit right in, though. It kind of works out, too, because 10:30 is 5:30 at home, so shouldn't be too hard to get back into schedule at home. Going to get some sleep now.

Re-fueling with some lunch. Per your request, Patrick - Empanadas (a popular Argentine food) y Ensalada vegetal. We learned & practiced a lot of spanish for various menu items today.
& followed with un cafe con leche y un capucino. They serve them with a little glass of agua con gas. They were yummy.

Loved the pictures, Brooke. I'm glad you have this opportunity to get behind the camera more and experiment with it. I bet you're going to have some amazing opportunities on this trip.
Your comments on the city life had me shaking my head in agreement. I feel that way even after one day in S.F -- Come home and hop in the shower, trying to get the city off of me.
Not having a car would be SO cool on so many levels! We need to drive less and walk more here in America. It would be rough 100% of the time with kids though.
