Wanna Get Away?

We needed to get away.  I so needed a break from cleaning and work and just wanted to get away to somewhere clean :) to be able to relax.  The house is actually feeling a little better, but it did me very well to get away for a night and a day this past weekend. Doug has also been quite overwhelmed with all the adjustments - new job, new language to learn, new products, gone for a week in Iowa for a trade show, etc.  So, we booked a night at the Embassy Suites in Peoria (the biggest city near here - 25 minutes away).  One of the churches we've been going to has been meeting in the conference center there until they finish building their building.  So, it worked out great to walk downstairs and across the street after a good, included omelet breakfast!  It helped tremendously for us to relax for a little.
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and only had my phone --

Ahh, a nice, clean room
with 2 rooms, so we could hang out when the kids went to bed at 8.

A couple horses and buggies were waiting for a wedding party to finish taking photos.  The kids were happy to pet this horse.

especially our little horse lover, Sutton.

freight (mostly grain) being pushed down the river by a tugboat.  This is how all products used to travel out of here until the train and highways.
the tugboat pushing several cargo pads (not sure what they're called)
