Moving Day

Saying goodbye to Livermore and our home of the last 9 years was not easy. It's still really hard to believe we won't be going back there when we leave my sister's house later this week.

It was a long and tiring 3 weeks of packing and prep for the big move.  We packed 125 boxes and the movers packed about 25 boxes of breakables!  Everything had to be in a box that wasn't furniture.

We haven't seen the end result yet, but Moovers, Inc. seemed to do a great job of packing and protecting our furniture.  They wrapped all furniture in blankets and plastic wrap.
Our empty house :(.  Lots of memories here.  Nine years.
All three of our kids were born while we lived here.
Bye bye house.
Goodbye Livermore :(.  We'll miss you!

Brooke, this post made me cry my eyes out. We're coming on one year since moving here to Washington... I remember the feelings you're feeling now, like it was yesterday. We believe, without a doubt that this is exactly where God wants us. We're so thankful He moved us here and we absolutely love being here. However, the moving is still SO hard. Saying goodbye is SO difficult. Starting over is scary, especially when you're going off with just each other and God - knowing that it WILL be enough, but also knowing you've never done that before and that alone is scary.
I will be praying for you guys. Praying for God's peace, His guidance, wisdom and discretion. I will be praying for your kids in this transition; I know its really rough on kids to make such big changes.
I think in a very short amount of time, you're going to be so excited about the ways you see God already showing you this move was exactly what He wanted for you. You have such an exciting road ahead of you guys - God's blessings to you and your family.
