We brought our bikes along and loved being able to ride them anywhere on the island.
A bike trail goes around the whole island and every shop or restaurant has a bike rack out front.
A very bike friendly town -very cool.
I tried to get a picture while riding of the kids all in a row.
Kerrigan was so cute on the little trail-a-bike attached to Doug's. She did great. They all did.
Playing on the beach and making sandcastles
The water was a great temperature and very calm and shallow -- perfect for the kids and for us not having to worry much about them out there. They made some friends with kids from 2 families from New Hampshire. It was cute to see them all play together. Not really any waves to catch on the boogie boards, but they still had fun with them. The little specs out far are Sutton and one of their new friends.
Little Kerr Kerr :)
Doug reading, relaxing
Doug going out with the kids. It was shallow for a long way and then shallow again on a large sand bar not far out.
View from in the water
:)
We rode our bikes to the lighthouse one day. Not the most beautiful lighthouse, but still neat.
The beach was nice and even more shells at that point.
See all the people looking for shells? :)
the causeway is in the background
People fishing. Lots of pelicans around the island, too. The kids were throwing fish to these.
Sutton with a starfish she found
Still one or two more posts to come :)...
