Winter Fun

We've actually enjoyed this month of winter and snow.  Yes, it's been freezing (literally), but the snow has been fun and we've enjoyed the beauty the snow brings.  Amazing how it brightens and cleans things - reminds us often of how Christ's sacrifice purifies us and makes us new and beautiful.

Some (ok a lot of) photos from the month...
(this is what happens when I get really behind in blogging)
We went to cut our tree down, but liked one that was already cut better, so we just posed as if cutting down this one :)  It was still a fun experience, albeit cold.
we did cut some boughs, though.

The first snow big enough to play in -- so we, of course, had a snowball fight.

and a homemade maple syrup 'snowcone' or snow bowl in this case.

Doug and I almost had frost bite as we were determined to put some lights up outside on one of the coldest days!

Kerrigan all bundled up, looks like a stuffed doll :).  She can barely move or fit in her carseat.  This is the day after the snowfall and drove over to Grandma's and Grandpa's to get sleds.
The kids had a blast and Doug & I got a little workout pulling them.

snow angels made by our little angels :)

and more snow came later to cover everything - it was so beautiful

Also, I love that you pretended to cut a tree down - awesome!
