Summer, Cows and Storm Sunsets

It appears summer has arrived.  Seasons here seem to come abruptly.  No real easing into them.  One day they are just here.  The last two days have been hot and humid.  It is supposed to be into the 90s this week.  I really enjoyed this spring.  Not much rain and great temperatures with little wind.  Last spring had much more rain and wind.

Summer is a mixed bag for me here.  I really don't like humidity or how hot it gets, nor the bugs that come in summer here.  But, I love that we are finished with school and the kids and I get a summer break!  We officially finished school on Friday.  We have a little bit to do still on a couple subjects, but for the most part, we are finished and it sure does make the days much more free and flexible!

Here's what we did today after church to beat the heat --

They later checked the weather and asked if they can do it again this week, knowing it will be hot.

Hudson was a bit outgunned with his small squirt gun

While out there the farmer that owns the pasture behind the yard came to drop off his cattle

 The cows came sprinting down the hill, 

either because it was steep or they were excited to be on pasture.

 We used to have deer out there, now we have these guys until winter.

 Thunderstorms came through later and this is the amazing orange sky that followed.
